Hydration on the Go!

Hello my Tribe Members!! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ Your Tribe leader, The Yettie in the Pink Underwear, is back today to tell you about my favorite way to get my water on the go. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’งย

My Favorite Travel Water Bottle

I love to travel, but your doggo will love it even more if you have this travel water bottle with you! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‰ Itโ€™s a cool, flexible water bottle that holds just enough water for me to drink while Iโ€™m out, so it will be the perfect size for your doggo. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿถ Also, it doesnโ€™t take up too much space! This travel water bottle comes in 2 sizes and 2 of my favorite colors (pink and yellow). ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’› All 3 big pieces of the bottle easily detach from each other so you can clean it without all the hassle. You could even just throw the bottle in the dishwasher, since itโ€™s dishwasher safe! ๐Ÿงผ๐Ÿ˜ฑ The lid doubles as a bowl for your dog, so you donโ€™t have to worry about bringing an extra one while youโ€™re out. This travel bottle is all about saving space! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘ Our unique design is BPA free, making it completely safe for me, you, and your doggo to drink from. โœจ๐Ÿ˜ Having fresh water for your doggo is essential on long walks, especially now that itโ€™s summer. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿฅต Our smart travel bottle comes with a carabiner clip, which makes it easy to attach to the outside of any pack. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸŽ’ Obviously, you don't want to carry around unnecessary weight out on the trail, so we made this bottle from super light plastic and silicone. ๐Ÿ’ช This bottle is perfect for people and dogs with outdoor lifestyles and all my people who like to travel with their dog. ๐ŸŒณโœˆ๏ธ I love that this bottle is even food grade safe, so I donโ€™t have to worry while Iโ€™m out on the trail enjoying my fresh water! ๐ŸงŠ๐Ÿ’ง

Why itโ€™s Important to Keep Your Dog Hydrated

Your doggoโ€™s hydration is just as important as yours and mine, especially if theyโ€™re active. ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿ’ช Being active doesnโ€™t just mean running laps or playing fetch for hours; going on a hike, or just out for a daily walk, qualifies as being active. ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Dehydration is a serious issue, and significant dehydration requires professional medical intervention. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ The amount of water your doggo needs will depend on how big they are and what their diet looks like. Obviously, bigger dogs will need more water. ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’ฆ Your dog will drink about 1 ounce of water per 1 pound of their body weight each day. If your doggoโ€™s diet is strictly dry kibble, they will need more water than a doggo that eats wet food. ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿฅฃย  If youโ€™re out with your dog all day (or for any long stretch of time), you need to bring water with you. The more activity they do, the more water they will need. ๐Ÿ˜ Dogs can be fussy over their water if itโ€™s not fresh, and will become dehydrated as a result of rejecting the old or dirty water. ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคข Ifย  you suspect that your doggo is dehydrated, there are a few ways you can check their hydration. Looking at and feeling their gums is an easy way to tell if your doggo is dehydrated. ๐Ÿ’• Normal gums will be moist and pink, but if your doggo isnโ€™t getting enough water, they will be tacky and dry. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Some people like to feel the moistness of their doggoโ€™s nose to check for dehydration, but this actually isnโ€™t an accurate test! ๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐Ÿ™… If you donโ€™t want to poke inside your doggoโ€™s mouth, thereโ€™s another dehydration test you could try. Gently tug the extra skin on the back of their neck. ๐Ÿฉโœ‹ If it springs back into place, your doggo is properly hydrated, but if it stays scrunched or falls slowly back into place, your doggo really needs water (or some attention from a veterinarian). ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ
